Distrigaz Sud Retele is the main Romanian gas distribution system operator. Founded in 1975, it delivers gas to 1,8 million end users thanks to a network long of 20,000 km. In 2017, Distrigaz Sud Retele distributed 45 TWh of gas.

Romania counts 2000 NGV vehicles and 2 NGV stations.

Galp Gás Natural Distribuição is the largest Portuguese gas distribution system operator. Founded in 2009, it delivers gas to 1.1 million end users thanks to a network long of 12,100 km. There are 580 NGV vehicles and 13 NGV stations in use and in Portugal.

Nedgia is the main Spanish gas distribution system operator. Founded in 1843, it delivers gas to 5.4 million end users through a network long of 52,400 km. There are 14,216 NGV vehicles and 107 NGV stations in use in in Spain.

Spain also counts 1 biomethane production site injecting in the transmission network.

Gaz Réseau Distribution France

GRDF is the main French gas distribution system operator. Founded in 2008, it delivers gas to 11 million end users thanks to a network long of 199,000 km. France counts 82 biomethane production site injecting in the gas network (64 of which in the GRDF-operated network). There are around 18,254 NGV vehicles and 123 public NGV stations in use in in France. 11,000 persons are working at GRDF.

Italgas

Italgas

Italgas is the largest Italian gas distribution system operator. Founded in 1837, it delivers gas to 7,5 million end users thanks to a network long of 67,700 km. Italgas has distributed 7.8 billion m3 of gas in 2017 and employs 3.584 workers. Italgas is also deploying smart meters on its networks. At the end of 2047, 1.7 million smart meters were installed.

Italy counts 1 anaerobic digestion production site injecting 300 GWH/year of biomethane in the distribution grid. There are close to 1 million NGV vehicles and 11,000 NGV stations in use in Italy.

Gas Networks Ireland

Gas Networks Ireland, part of Ervia, owns, operates, builds and maintains the natural gas network in Ireland and connects over 700,000 customers to the network.

From 1978, Gas Networks Ireland has developed a safe and secure gas network, with sufficient capacity for Ireland to meet energy demand in an ever competitive global economy. The distribution and transmission networks consist of over 14,172km (11,800 distribution and 2,400 transmission) of pipeline, and are linked to the UK and European gas markets through two Interconnector pipelines with Scotland.

There are approximately 30 NGV vehicles in use in Ireland with plans to roll-out CNG filling stations across the country. In 2019, GNI will deliver the first renewable gas injection facility in Ireland.
