    Brussels, 19 June 2020 - Gas Distributors for Sustainability, jointly with 9 other European associations, co-signed a letter to Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans, Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson, and Industry Commissioner Thierry Breton.   • GD4S is strengthened with the entry of the Greek EDA THESS

    Brussels, 25 May 2020 - Gas Distributors for Sustainability, the association that brings together the main European players in the gas distribution sector, is further strengthened by the entry of the Greek EDA THESS. The new member, active in the distribution of natural gas in the Thessaloniki and Thessaly areas, is the seventh member of the European Association, thus reaching a network of 28 million customers.

  • GD4S perspective on integrating renewable gas

    Brussels, 10th March 2020. Jean-Marie Gauthey, Head of EU Affairs at GRDF, participated in the 1st Workshop organised by ENTSOG on its 2050 Roadmap for Gas Grids.
    He presented the main challenges and parameters of gas distributors on the pathway towards a performant integration of renewable gases. Key challenges focus on governance, planning, and efficient regulation of flexibility. As a conclusion, Jean-Marie Gauthey stated that the EU Green Deal should provide the legal Framework for a Renewable Gas Strategy.

    Paris, November 13th 2019. Ian Kilgallon, Business Development & Innovation Manager, Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) took to the stage on behalf of Gas Distributors for Sustainability (GD4S) at the 2019 Hub Session at the European Utility Week.
