Alliander Logo
Alliander
With its 2,5 million connections, Alliander is one of the three main gas distributors of the Netherlands, operating a network of almost 42 000 km. The company has been founded in 2007 and employs 7 000 people. Alliander is also injecting biomethane in its network from 24 plants within its territory and supplies 84 bioCNG and bioLNG stations. There are around 15 000 bioCNG vehicles in use in the Netherlands.
Cadent Logo
Cadent
Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network, bringing gas to 11 million homes and businesses. Managing a network of more than 132,000 km of pipes, transporting gas throughout the North West, West Midlands, East Midlands, East of England, and North London.

As our customers transition to clean energy and move to low carbon alternatives, the role of the gas network changes. We are supporting our customers in the energy transition, by (1) enabling energy solutions providing flexibility, resilience and reducing consumption, such as access to gas for flexible power generation and for hybrid heating systems (2) driving reductions in emissions so the gas that our customers use, creates fewer emissions, focussing on reducing gas leaks and boosting biomethane (3) converting and developing the network to distribute hydrogen to where it is needed, including hydrogen for industry and power and possibly for homes in the future.
Distrigaz Sud Retele Logo
Distrigaz Sud Retele
Distrigaz Sud Rețele is a leader in natural gas distribution in Romania, with over 47 years of expertise in this field, with more than 2.25 million customers, about 24,000 km of network and 2,806 employees. DGSR’s objective is to provide consumers with the natural gas infrastructure they need, within the appropriate technical parameters, ensuring the safety and maintenance of the entire distribution system. The priorities of Distrigaz Sud Rețele are focused on the five strategic axes towards which the company concentrates its investment effort: industrial security, performance, development, innovation and the relationship with customers and institutions.
Enaon Logo
Enaon
Enaon, an ITALGAS Group company, is active in the field of natural gas distribution in Greece. As the sole owner of the Distribution Network Operator Enaon EDA (which today is the result of the merger of the pre-existing companies DEDA, EDA Thess and EDA Attikis), Enaon develops the gas network across a vast geographical expanse in the Greek territory, managing approximately 8.500 kilometers of network and more than 600.000 active delivery points. Enaon’s core mission is to develop advanced gas networks throughout Greece, designed to deliver a diverse range of energy sources including natural gas and renewable gases.
Enexis Logo
Enexis
At Enexis, our 5,500 dedicated employees work tirelessly to ensure stable and reliable energy grids, securing the future of energy supply. In addition to our electricity grids, we operate a gas network spanning over 46,000 km, serving more than 2.3 million customers, making us one of the three main gas distributors in the Netherlands.

We are committed to renewable molecules, distributing over 100 million cubic meters of biomethane annually, and are making significant investments in our gas network to enable the injection of around 800 million cubic meters of green gas by 2030. We are also gaining valuable experience with hydrogen distribution in Wagenborgen, where we operate a hydrogen network for 33 homes. This project provides us with practical insights into integrating hydrogen into existing natural gas grids.
Floene Energias Logo
Floene Energias
Floene Energias is the largest Portuguese gas distribution system operator. Floene manages about 72% of the gas distribution network (medium and low pressure), reaching more than 1 million households and businesses customers. With a network of 13 800 km, mostly made of polyethylene (94%), and with an average age of less than 17 years, the company has one of the most modern and efficient infrastructures in Europe, prepared to inject and distribute renewable gases.

Floene has developed several projects contributing to the decarbonisation and promotion of renewable gases. These initiatives focus on three main areas: introducing renewable gases into the network, including the injection of green hydrogen and biomethane; promoting greater energy efficiency; and increasing awareness and understanding of renewable gases and their role in the energy transition.
Gas Networks Ireland Logo
Gas Networks Ireland
Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) is a semi-state body where its principal activity is the transportation of natural gas on behalf of all gas customers. GNI owns, operates, builds and maintains a world-class transmission and distribution gas network of 14,725 kilometres of pipelines including sub-sea interconnectors and pipelines in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

As experts in gas, GNI is committed to driving decarbonised energy supplies for its customers and continues to facilitate Ireland’s economy to develop and grow. The forward-looking strategy of GNI sees a transition from natural gas to decarbonised gases such as biomethane and hydrogen by 2050.
