GD4S publishes its Manifesto 2024-2029

As European elections are around the corner, GD4S is stepping out with a new manifesto setting a blueprint for our collective vision and a roadmap for a pragmatic energy transition in Europe.

Through a set of recommendations, it tackles the crucial role gas distribution system operators (DSOs) play in a fully integrated and clean European energy system, and how they can support the EU in delivering its objectives of decarbonisation, energy affordability, and energy security.

This manifesto isn’t just a collection of ideas; it’s a call to action. The focus should now be geared towards the achievement of the Green Deal’s multiple objectives and the implementation of adequate supporting measures and regulations (both at EU and national level) to unlock the potential of gas distribution networks and renewable gases.

We are committed to playing our role and will work with all our stakeholders, customers, suppliers and public authorities to maximise the benefits brought by our important assets.
