Overview
Gas distribution networks are flexible and can transport different gases, from different production and storage sources through to end-users.
Our vision
The gas network will remain necessary until and after 2050 for the distribution of renewable gases, including biomethane and hydrogen, and to provide energy storage capacity at a cost-effective price to withstand large fluctuations in energy demand throughout the year.
Our ambition
Unlock the potential of renewable gases and of gas distribution networks to enable an affordable, resilient and sustainable pathway to climate neutrality.
